Back To School In 3.. 2.. 1...

The Summer hols have been very long this year, and here at Echoes weve had a lot going on from swimming sessions and our trip to York Maize-Maze to us moving offices (same building just a smaller room!)

We have a lot more planned for the rest of the year including our new sibling activities (see post below), and much more, so watch this space and 'Like' our Facebook page for regular updates!

Sib-activities with Echoes

Echoes has recieved funding to enable us to do something especially for siblings of disabled children in our area. As our families will know, sometimes the day to day  additional needs of their child can leave their other children feeling left out and in need of some TLC. We think it is very important  for parents to get some quality time with these siblings, so we have decided  to run a set of activities specifically for them. We will use the funding to subsidise the cost of the activities listed below.

Sat 26th September

Quasar Laser Tag

Princes Quay

Hull Superbowl

Sat 24th October

Hollywood Bowl

Sat 21st November

Big Fun
National Avenue

All siblings are free and accompanying parents/carers £3.00 each.

Please contact us to book places. Bookings and payments must be made to secure places. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Swimming Sessions at Ganton

The last swimming sessions at Ganton School before Easter will Sunday 22 March.  They start again after the Easter holidays on Sunday 19 April.

These sessions are very popular with families mainly due to the warm water and because the pool depth can be set to suit their needs.  See some of the great feedback we've had on these sessions at Family Swim Sessions

Echoes Has a New Patron!

The Hon. Olivia Cunliffe-Lister, wife of The Hon. Simon Cunliffe-Lister and mum of four, is part of the resident family in the beautiful Burton Agnes Hall. Craft genius, as seen from her ‘paperback Christmas trees’ in the Two Hairy Bikers Christmas Special, and expert home maker (It’s an absolutely massive Hall on 42 acres of gardens and 600 acres total land) she has happily taken on another title as Patron of Echoes. The Cunliffe-Lister family keep their home open to public visits and do a wonderful event for Christmas which Olivia and her family decorate themselves (craft genius!). They also host a hugely popular Jazz Festival in the summer and enjoy having people visit their home.

We’re absolutely delighted to have such a warm hearted and hospitable woman as our new Patron and are very much looking forward to working with Olivia as she is with us. Olivia said, ‘I am delighted to be a new Patron of Echoes and am impressed by the breadth of interesting and hugely worthwhile projects that the foundation undertakes, and the number of families it supports in the area. I am excited to be supporting Echoes and look forward to our work together in the future.’
